We believe that God has specifically called us to plant a church in San Angelo. This is our home, and we have grown to love it and want to invest back into our community by serving others.
We feel a calling to reach people in San Angelo who don’t have an active relationship with Jesus. We know the amazing and positive impact that a relationship with Jesus can have in someone’s life and in their family.
The old saying “There’s a church on every corner” doesn’t quite ring true anymore, even more so in San Angelo. According to the Religion Census 2020, San Angelo is under-churched for the current population and the expected growth that is anticipated.

WHY SAN ANGELO?
The name Collide comes from Matthew 6:10. When Jesus teaches the Lord’s Prayer, He says, “Your kingdom come, your will be done, here on earth as it is in heaven.” Jesus is inviting us to be active participants in the Kingdom of God, in the here and now. Collide Church wants to help lead people in knowing that Jesus has already empowered them to impact their neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and city. Everyone has a circle of influence and can be used by God to positively impact those around them.
Collide Church is not just focused on the present, but on generations to come. According to Barna Research, research has consistently shown that every generation of adults is somewhat less religious than the generation that preceded it. During the passing of time, the separation between Jesus and generations will continue to grow wider in our community. Collide Church sees the imperative need to intervene now.
